Using PINs for Check In/Out

PINs at Cubby provide a secure and simple way for parents and guardians to check children in and out of daycare. Each adult connected to a family is automatically assigned a PIN during account creation, and you can update your PIN at any time.

Setting or Updating Your PIN

1. tap the navigation button in the top-right corner from any main section in the app.

2. Select Update My Account.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the form and enter a 4-digit PIN.

4. Press Submit.

   • If the PIN is already in use, you will be prompted to choose a different one.

💡 Tip: Each adult in a family account has their own unique PIN, including the primary contact.

Using Your PIN at Check In/Out

1. Enter your PIN on a kiosk-enabled tablet or phone at your daycare location.

2. A modal will appear showing a list of children linked to your account.

3. Select one or more children you want to check in or out.

4. Confirm your selection, and the system will log the check in/out instantly.

5. Once complete, you can verify the times by viewing the student Calendar tab in the Student Dashboard

Why PINs Matter

• Security – Only authorized adults with valid PINs can check children in or out.

• Flexibility – Multiple children can be checked in/out at once.

• Accountability – Staff and managers can always see who dropped off or picked up a child, and at what time.
